I can tell you that was some storm. It appeared from nowhere with no warning at all and dumped 16 mm on Sydney in no time flat. Extremely bright, vivd lightning which seemed to be everywhere at once, although it was not sheet lightning and simultaneous deafening claps of thunder. I was at my computer when it started and lightning seemed to almost pass through my study. It didn’t really, but it certainly seemed that way. I ws thankful for heavy duty surge protector on circuit. It caught the bureau of meteorology by surprise too. Five minutes after it finishes the sun was shining on the masses of hail it left.

Thanks, I’ll remember that, Craig. No yellow shirts on stormy days for me!
You think there’s any scientific reason the lightning picked the yellow boat?
I’m fairly certain it’s a proven fact that yellow angers Zeus, and Thor has never been a big fan, either.
:-P
