NASCAR

For the first time ever, yesterday I watched a NASCAR race. Not sure why. I’m bored with the Olympics. I was sleepy. But mostly, I guess I just wondered why so many people enjoy watching NASCAR.

It was reasonably enjoyable, although I must admit to falling in and out of sleep with some regularity. One driver purposefully wrecking another driver gives the event a certain panache that is missing from real racing. (I don’t like real racing either.) NASCAR is kind of like Monday Night Raw on an oval. (I don’t like wrestling either.)

They’re just good ole boys. Never meanin’ no harm.

I may never watch another race, but I’m glad I watched one yesterday. I didn’t get to see the end of the race, but it didn’t matter to me.

Not a part of NASCAR nation, eh? I’ve never watched one of those races completely through. I’d probably fall asleep as well.

BTW, you’ve been tagged over at bloggedy blog.

Real racing? NASCAR is real racing. To be more accurate,

real racing + soap opera = NASCAR

A baseball fan calling a Nascar race boring??? If it wasn’t for Johnny Damon, I couldn’t stay awake during a baseball game (yawn)!

I’m pretty sure some of the drivers fell asleep. That’s boring.
